Insecurity: Girl Dies After Gunshot At Residence Of D.O. Of Kribi – Lokoundje

The residence of the Divisional Officer for Kribi – Lokoundje Subdivision is a crime scene since Sunday, July 25, 2020.

A gunshot that was fired from the house has resulted in the death of a student.
Lydienne, the D.O’s girl friend was hit on the neck. She was rushed to the Kribi District Hospital but she didn’t survive.

According to preliminary investigation by security services, the lady and her boyfriend were in the room preparing for a journey to Douala when Frank Derlin Eyono Ebanga, decided to clean his automatic handgun.

In the process, the unfortunate occurred, he mistakenly took a shot that hit his girl friend.

Mobilization Of Administrative Authorities

Following the incident the Senior Divisional Officer for the Ocean Division and the State Counsel accompanied by representatives of other competent units went to the scene.

The family of the deceased identified the corpse before it was taken to the Kribi District Hospital Mortuary.

The D.O. Frank Derlin Eyono Ebanga was immediately taken into custody by the Gendarmerie while investigations continue.

Frank Derlin Eyono Ebanga has been Divisional Officer for Kribi Lokoundje for barely two weeks. He took function on July 10, 2020. He was previously First Assistant Senior Divisional Officer in Kribi.
