Intermediate Lions Bow To A Division One Club, Panthere of Nde

The Intermediate Lions of Yves Clement Arroga has submitted to a 1-0 defeat from a local Division two club, Panther of Nde in a friendly ahead of the 2020 CHAN.

 

Mbarga Cedric scored the lone and winning goal for Panthere of Nde at the 54th minute of play.

The match fielded at the Stade Annex 1 of the Yaounde Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium exposed the technical team of the Intermediate Lions to some the aspects to work on.

The preparatory match ahead of the 2020 CHAN to be hosted in Cameroon kicked off at 4:30 pm local time, one of the first post #COVID19 matches in Cameroon.

The match that attracted a good number fans is just one amongst the three friendlies to be played by the host, Cameroon.

The second of the test games has been scheduled for this Saturday, October 10, 2020 against visiting South Sudan team.

The North African that has been training in Cameroon for some days now faced off , 2019/2020 Elite One Champions , PWD Bamenda on Wednesday, October 7 in a friendly that ended 3-0 in favour of the Abakwa team.

The return leg still to be fielded in Cameroon at the Yaounde Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium has been programmed for Tuesday, October 13, 2020, the third friendly for the moment.

As the Intermediate Lions braces up for their second day action in international friendlies, the Indomitable Lions camped in The Netherlands will pick on Japan in their first test game this Friday, October 9, 2020 at the Utrecht Stadium.

The second friendly for the National team hs been programmed against the North African country of Algeria.

According to the programme schedule of the 2020 CHAN , the host Cameroon will pick on Zimbabwe in the opening match on January 16, 2021 at the Yaounde Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium.

The boys of Yves Clement Arroga are paired in Group A alongside Zimbabwe, Burkina Faso and Mali.

As at now, the Intermediate Lions camped at the CAF Excellence Center in Mbankomo are undergoing recovery sessions after the friendly encounter.
