The cabinet meeting for November held this Thursday November 26, 2020.
It was dedicated to evaluating the level of implementation of recent directives given by the Head of Government.
The level of progress in the setting up of a unified social code is one of the subjects the cabinet meeting looked at.
The Minister of Social Affairs, Pauline Irene Nguene explained that her ministry is well in the process of laying the groundwork for the setting up of a unified code for the country.
The instruction given by Prime Minister – Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute weeks back calling for a restructuring of the pharmaceutical industry with the view of creating a professional association was also discussed during the meeting.
The Minister Mines, Industries and Technological Development, Gabriel Dodo Ndoke said actors of the sector are being mobilized towards this end.
In the field of road construction, the Minister of Public Works; Emmanuel Nganou Djoumesi presented the strides made in the selection of private partners for the construction of the Yaounde – Douala and the Kribi – Edea motorway as well as on the progress of releasing land rights on tracks selected for the construction of the motorways.
The Minister of the Economy, Planning and Regional Development, Alanine Ousmane Mey presented a report on the management of works to secure and developed the surroundings of The Yaounde Nsimalen motorway.
While the Secretary of State in the Ministry of Health, Halim Garga Hayatou presented an update on the evolution of the COVID 19 pandemic.
The recovery rate in Cameroon stands at 95%.
Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute invited the different members of government to accelerate the implementation of the Prime Ministerial directives.
