2020 CHAN: Day-3 Programme Schedule Of The Pre-CHAN Tournament

The pre-CHAN tournament organised in Cameroon as from Friday, January 1, 2021 enters day-3 and the last day of play this Thursday, January 7 with two games to be fielded at the Omnisport Annex 1 Stadium in Yaounde.

The Mena A’ of Niger under Coach Harouna Doula will at 4p.m on Thursday, January 7, 2021 through weights with the Uganda Cranes first team to arrive Cameroon for the CHAN

The pre-tournament game is the third for both teams since the start of the test games; Niger played a 3-3 match with the Zambia Chipolopolo

On day-2, Cameroon fell off in the hands of the Mena A’ in a 2-1 pre-CHAN tournament on Monday, January 4, 2021 at the Yaounde Omnisport Annex 2.

The Uganda Cranes on their part played a 1-1 game with the Intermediate Lions of Cameroon under Martin Ndtoungou Mpile.

On day-2 of the test games, Uganda defeated the Chipolopolo of Zambia 2-0 in a pre-CHAN mini tournament at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Annex 2 Stadium this Monday, January 4, 2021.

The two goals were scored by Vianne Sekajugo and Steven Mukwala.

The second and the last day-3 game to be fielded at 6 pm on Thursday, January 7 will see the host, The Intermediate Lions of Cameroon welcome the Zambia Chipolopolo under their head Coach, Milutin Sredojevic, who once served the Uganda Cranes

The Intermediate Lions of Cameroon are still to make public a final player list for the 2020 CHAN to be organised in some ten days from now.

As at now, a provisional list of 33 players published by the Head Coach of the Intermediate Lions of Cameroon is the second since his appointment to replace Yves Clement Arroga. The 33 preselected players have been in camp at the CAF Excellence in Mbankomo for training.

Zambia on her part published a 31-man provisional list for the 2020 CHAN in Cameroon.

The four nation pre-CHAN games involving Zambia, Uganda, Niger and Cameroon has gradually set the pace for the competitions to kick-off on January 16, 2021 with an opening encounter pitting host, Cameroon and Zimbabwe

Just to note, four participating countries the 6th edition of the CHAN; Zambia, Uganda, Niger and Burkina Faso are already in Cameroon.
