Cameroon’s Minister of Public Works is in Douala to assess road infrastructures dedicated to the African Nations Football Championship.
Upon arrival, Minister Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi stopped at the construction site of the East entrance of the city before visiting access roads leading to the Japoma sports complex which will host some matches of CHAN 2021 and AFCON 2022 tournaments.
Three road axes have been opened to circulation in Douala ahead of the upcoming CHAN.
The emergency construction works carried out by government has been evaluated by the Minister of Public Works, Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi. New roads constructed in Douala ahead of CHAN will ensure fluidity at the entrance into the Japoma stadium and on its linkage to the national highway Number 3 during the games. Minister of Public Works, Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi said during an evaluation visit.
On his way to Douala, the Minister equally made a stop to assess ongoing rehabilitation works along the Yaoundé-Douala road.
