#BiyaSpeech: Three Outstanding Young Cameroonians

In his youth day address to the country, the Head of State, President Paul cited amongst many others three outstanding Cameroonian youths that have waved Cameroon’s flag nationally and internationally in rare aspects of studies.

In his words President Paul Biya said
“If you embark on the conquest of the world, come back to build your country. Promote Cameroon like your compatriots, namely;

# The Physicist, Arsene Stephane Tema Biwole at General Atomics
#The Mathematician and Computer Scientist, Thystere Djob Mvondo who just brilliantly defended Doctorate Thesis at the age of 22.

#The Writer, Djaili Amadou Amal who as we know, won the Prix Goncourt des Lyceens 2020, and many others that i cannot name here

Knowing Arsene Stephane Tema Biwole

At the age of 28, this young Cameroonian physicist prides himself as one of the best physicians of his time.

Born on June 15, 1992 in Bafoussam in the West region of Cameroon, Arsene Stephane nursed the early dreams of becoming a scientist one day. His growing up was not easy at all, his mother alone struggled a lot to feed him and his siblings.

The young man took interest in the Newtons Law of motions and many others in Physics.

Arsene Stephane was later selected to study at the prestigious Polytechnic University of Turin in Italy, the only Cameroonian to have met the requirements.

In 2017, he got scholarship through  the American Ministry of Energy to carryout his Masters’ thesis research in San Diego, California with the General Atomics. During this time, the genius also worked with Fusion Theory Group of General Atomics.

The Ambassador of Youth Connect Projekt also took part in the 59th enlarged session of  high profile American Physical Society

Thystere Djob Mvondo

At 22, Thystere Djob Mvondo is one of the youngest PhD holders in Africa.

He defended his doctorate on “Resilience et dimensonnement dans des environnements virtualises” with the Unvisersité de Grenoble Alpes in France.

The research PhD thesis in Maths, Science and Information technology took the young Cameroon two years eight months. He defended in a videoconferencing with six celebrated university professors from Sydney, Sweden,  Ecole Normale Superieure de Lyon in France amongst many others.

Born in 1998, the baby PhD holder obtained his Advanced Level Certificate in 2011 and later enrolled into National Advanced School of Engineering of Yaounde, where he spent seven years

Djaili Amadou Amal

Cameroonian writer, Djaïli Amadou Amal won the 33rd Goncourt des Lycéens for her book titled “Les Impatientes” – a revival of a novel published  in 2017 under another title, “Munyal,” a Fulani word meaning patience.

The Djaili Amadou Amal is a Fula, and native of the Diamare in the Far North region of Cameroon who uses her pen present societal issues in that part of the country and also play the role of a feminist activist.

Inspired by her own experiences and forced into polygamy at 17, the poignant novel explores the status of women in an oppressive patriarchal society in the South Sahel.

The Prix Goncourt des Lycéens is a prestigious prize for French-language literature that was created as a sort of younger sibling to the Prix Goncourt. The ten members of the Académie Goncourt select twelve literary works as nominees.
