TotalCHAN2020: Cameroon coach canvasses support for lions

*Cameroon vs Morocco*

Martin Ntounghou Mpile: “I want the public of Limbe to come out and support the team.”

Morocco defeated Zambia by 3-goals-to-one to setup a semifinal clash against Cameroon, come Wednesday February 03, 2021 at the Limbe Omnisport Stadium. Cameroon coach, Martin Ntounghou Mpile watched the game from the stands at the Reunification Stadium Douala, Sunday. The astute tactician looked anxious yet expressed confidence about the upcoming challenge. In the following excerpt of his conversation with CRTV’s David Mbua Evelle Kool and Ayuk John Ashu he begins with an analysis of the performance of his team (Cameroon) against the Democratic Republic of Congo, Saturday at the Japoma Stadium.

*Ntounghou Mpile:* I think that the boys wanted to win the game against DRC. And before the game we had strategized a lot about the game with the players. All the boys were ready and it was easy for them to play and win the game.

*Question:* Coach, you now know your opponents for the semi-finals [Morocco]. How are you looking forward to that game?

*Ntounghou Mpile:* We are going to set up a programme on how we are going to face this team of Morocco. And we going to focus on the defense, first. Then we’ll put in place the right strategy in order to win this game against Morocco.

*Question:* What is the message you have out there for the public of Limbe who will be welcoming you?

*Ntounghou Mpile:* I want the public to come out and support the Cameroon team because this team has a brave heart. And I hope that the public will work with the team.
