2020 CHAN: Local Organizing Committee hands in detailed General Report
The Local Organizing Committee of the 2020 CHAN, COCAN has handed in an elaborate general report of the just ended 2020 African Nations Championship, CHAN to Cameroon’s Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi
The detailed general report unravels the journey of a successful organisation of the CHAN by Cameroon from the start to the end of the competition.
The voluminous bilingual report with 380 pages in the French language and 377 in English was presented this Monday, March 29, 2021 by the Director of the CHAN tournament, Michel Dissake Mbarga.
The general report is partitioned into six chapters
# Chapter 1: Structural Organisation and Strategic planning
# Chapter 2: Presentation of Infrastructure
# Chapter 3: Preparation of activities
# Chapter 4: The Competition (detailed report of every aspect of the tournament, the teams, the matches, the lodging amongst many other related issues)
# Chapter 5: Restitution of the various technical commissions
# Chapter 6: The Minister’s expose on the balance sheer of the CHAN tournament.
The Minister of Sports and Physical Education who served as the president of the COCAN described Cameroon’s hosting as examplery and worth the weight.
The sports boss without mincing words thanked the President of Cameroon and his government, the various COCAN committees, partners/sponsors, Cameroonians of all walks of life especially those who were part of the history making event amongst many others.
The report handing over ceremony was attended by Board Chair of ANAFOOT, Issa Hayatou, the representative of the Governor of the Centre region, the Interim President of FECAFOOT, the COCAN commission heads and top football officials in the country.
The ceremony brings an end to the directorate of the CHAN while opening doors for the upcoming biggest football jamboree, the AFCON to organised by Cameroon in 2022.
