Express Train from Yaounde to Douala and back returns to the rails

The Minister of Transport, Jean Ernest Ngalle Massina Bibehe, alongside CAMRAIL officials, Administrative, traditional and religious authorities of the Littoral region are enroute  to Yaounde by train on a special trip.

The trip is to enable the Minister make an appraisal of the technical state of 11 wagons renovated by CAMRAIL for passenger transport.

Before the train left from Bessengue train station in Douala, Religious authourities prayed for journey mercies while Prince Jean Yves Eboumbou poured the libation for the Gods for protection. The General Manager of CAMRAIL reassured of all security measures put in place alongside measures to stop the spread of #COVID19.

Minister Ngalle Bibehe also visited the 40 defective Chinese wagons undergoing repairs and 4 locomotives acquired by the state.

Unlike the INTERCITY when this special train starts transportation in the days ahead, it will make stops in Edea, Eseka, Makak and Ngoumou
