Parliament Bids Final Farewell to honourable Monjowa Lifaka
Cameroon’s National Assembly has paid glowing tributes to the late Deputy Speaker, Hon. Emilia Monjowa Lifaka at the Yaounde Conference Centre.
The Parliamentarian who was also Chairperson of the Executive Committee of Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, CPA international
Cameroon’s was remembered for her work in enhancing democratic process in the country and internationally.
Members of government, CPA representative from other countries and other dignitaries tuned out to say adieu to the Member of the National Assembly for the Fako West constituency.
The emotion packed ceremony was chaired by the senior deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Honourable Hilarion Etong who represented House Speaker, Honourable Cavaye Yeguie Djibril.
Speakers at the event took turns to hail the qualities of the fallen parliamentarian.
The ceremony at the National Assembly marks the state of the official funeral ceremony which will culminate with the burial of the late Law Maker in the land of her ancestors in Buea, South West region of Cameroon on Saturday May 22, 2021.
