A total of 218,465 candidates are sitting the “Brevet d’Etudes de Premier Cycle” of the French Sub system of education, an equivalent of the GCE Ordinary Level.
Among the candidates who began writing the exam this Monday June 13, 2021, are 3,165 in the Bilingual Series, tested for Oral Communication.
The “Brevets de techniciens (Bt) Esf, in Hotel Management and Tourism, and the written part of the “Probatoires AF, F et Probatoires de Bt”, an equivalence of the Lower Sixth intermediate exam, also began this Monday June 14, 2021 in Cameroon.
The 2021 “Brevet d’études du premier cycle (Bepc)” will run from June 14-19. According to a recent press release signed by the Minister of Secondary Education, Nalova Lyonga the candidates will write GEOGRAPHY during the 2021 session.
Every year, education authorities in Cameroon decide whether candidates will sit in for History or Geography during the “Brevet d’études du premier cycle (Bepc)”.
In 2021, 212.000 candidates sat the 2020 Bepc exam in Cameroon, and scored a 60% success rate. The Far North Region topped the chart with 77% success rate.
