#Afrobasket2021: Cote d’Ivoire and Senegal grabs early quarter-final tickets
The group games at the ongoing FIBA African Men’s Basketball Championship dubbed AfroBasket were completed this Sunday, August 29, 2021 with Senegal and Cote d’Ivoire grabbing automatic quarter final tickets.

Cote d’Ivoire topped group C of the tournament winning all three games with their last win against West African giants and Olympian squad, the D’Tigers of Nigeria.
The basketball Elephants of West Africa fought hard to lead the game from start to the end of fourth quarter with a record of 77-68 over the number African best, Nigeria
Cote d’Ivoire overpowered Guinea and host Rwanda, the host in group C to earn leadership in the competition.
The Lions of Senegal progressed directly without stress into the round of 8 after winning their third match against Cameroon.
Paired in Group D alongside South Sudan, Uganda and Cameroon, the Lions’ from West Africa roared louder than the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon a 98-65 score line.
Senegal topped group D with six points and will play the winners of the Egypt and Angola pre-quarter final match.
Cote d’Ivoire and Senegal joined Cape Verde and Tunisia as the four teams with automatic qualifications
