The Minister of State, Secretary General at the Presidency, Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh has just rounded up a two-day special fact finding mission to the West Region.
On the instructions of the Head of State President Paul Biya, Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh visited the sites hosting football and lodging facilities to serve teams of Group B at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nation.
The high profile visit kicked off in Bana and Bangou lodging localities to host Zimbabwe, Malawi, Guinea and Senegal during the 2021 AFCON.
The Minister of State dressed in the football outfit of the national teams of Cameroon alongside Sports Minister, Minister of Special Duties at the Presidency, staff of the Civil Cabinet, football legends like Football Roving Ambassador Roger Milla, Patrick Mboma, El Hadji Diouf of Senegal, Samuel Eto’o Fils, Geremi Njitap and many others toured hotel facilities in Bana and Bangou.
Team Senegal and Guinea will be lodged in Bangou while Malawi and Zimbabwe will take up residence in Bana where they will drive some few kilometres to train at the Bafang Municipal Stadium.
This Monday, October 18, the caravan started off earlier at the Fotso Victor Stadium in Bandjoun scheduled to serve as one of the training grounds for Group B.
In a jovial atmosphere, President Paul Biya’s envoy even shared a moment with his crew members as they kicked the ball on the turf to the delight of the media men and onlookers.
The AFCON fact finding mission to the West region later visited sports related infrastructure, among them, the Bafoussam Omnisport stadium, and the Bafang municipal stadium amongst many others.
The Minister of State, Secretary General at the Presidency and his delegation went visiting at the Bafoussam General Hospital, the Bafoussam Referral Hospital that have acquired sophisticated medical equipment and reinforced emergency unit ahead of the AFCON.
The receiving Governor, Fonka Awa Augustine expressed satisfaction and thanked the Head of State for his relentless efforts in ensuring quality works on the roads, lodging facilities and health structures earmarked to play a great role when African countries come to Cameroon for the football feast in January 2022.
President Paul Biya’s messenger carried out a similar exercise in the town of Douala and is expected in the hours ahead in the town of Garoua, one of the host cities of the AFCON.
