PWD vs Astres: Their Journey to the Final
PWD Bamenda and Les Astres Douala will relish to win the Cup of Cameroon for the very first time, when they clash in the final this Sunday at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium.
The protracted finale is finally settled, eight months after the two teams booked their spots in the semifinals.
PWD Bamenda
The Abakwa Boys concluded a decent run to this stage in July by thrashing Union Douala 3-0 in their semifinal in Bafoussam.
The win accumulated to PWD’s five victories and 11 strikes realized in the Cup.
Astres of Douala
For Les Astres it looks like their main asset will be Coach Anicet Mbarga Foe’s experience in championing teams to victory.
Foe was assistant when Union won the Elite One in 2012 – five years on, he lifted the same trophy with Eding Sport. He will be key on Sunday.
Les Astres Douala and PWD will be meeting for the fourth time in recent years this Sunday, contesting to win a maiden Cup of Cameroon trophy.
