FENASCO B Leaugue Games kicks Off: 1,400 Compete in 11 Disciplines in Yaounde

The 2022 edition  of the national primary school games known as FENASCO League B games began this Monday June 20, 2022 in Yaounde.

This year’s edition has been organised on the theme: A healthy and safe environment for school sports without COVID-19.

The competition was launched by the Minister of Basic Education, Prof. Laurent Serge Etoundi Ngoa.

About 1,400 athletes from primary schools in the ten regions of Cameroon are taking part this year.

They all arrived Yaounde on Saturday June 18, 2022 and the Olympic flame was received by the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Basic Education Dr. Asheri Kilo on Sunday June 19.

The one week multidisciplinary school sports competition launched will take place in 5 sites in Yaounde.

While launching the 2022 Fenasco B games, the Minister of Basic Education Prof. Laurent Serge Etoundi Ngoa called on the athletes to take the competition seriously because they are the sports nursery of our Country

The innovation for this year is the introduction of the paralympic category of pupils.

11) Badminton

The launching ceremony was attended by top government officials.

Animation groups invited for the launching ceremony added colour to the event most especially the group from the East Region of Cameroon.

The Basic Education Minister Prof. Laurent Serge Etoundi Ngoa was accompanied by the Minister of Sports and Physical Education Prof. Narcisse Moelle Kombi to the official lunching of the 2022 FENASCO League B Games.
