Farmers encouraged to apply sustainable practices
Stakeholders involved in food production in Cameroon, have resolved to ensure the cultivation of highly nutritious vegetables using sustainable practices.
They made the resolutions in Yaounde this September 22, 2022, during the first session of the steering committee of the national project to improve on the production of vegetables.
The session was chaired by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Gabriel Mbairobe.
The project aims at facilitating access to quality inputs for farmers.
Stray Elephants cause Scare in the South Region
Stray Elephants have for over a month now been causing panic in Vema village and its environs in the Ebolowa II sub division of the South Region of Cameroon.
The four elephants suspected to come from neighbouring Gabon have destroyed farms and have even been spotted in the centre of the village, constituting a major threat to human life.
Sign Language: Building Inclusive Communities for All
Cameroon joins the international community today September 23, 2022, to commemorate the International Day of Sign Languages.
The day is a unique opportunity to support and protect linguistic identify and cultural biodiversity of all deaf people and other sign language users.
During this year’s edition of the International Day of Sign Languages, deaf communities, government and civil society organisations maintain their collective efforts in fostering national sign languages as part of their country’s vibrant and diverse linguistic landscape.
The day is being commemorated under the theme “Building Inclusive Communities for All.”
