School Gadgets take over Markets in Cameroon
The back-to-school effervescence is on with school gadgets and textbooks being displayed in bookshops and several markets across the country.
Vendors in Buea say most of the textbooks prescribed for the upcoming school year are available despite the fact that business is slow.
As September 5 draws near, book sellers in Buea are optimistic the business will experience a boom.
At the Bamenda I market, located at Up Station Bamenda in the North West Region, school uniforms are displayed at the doors of tailoring workshops.
Some tailors say business has improved this year.
However, the situation is different for inhabitants of the Bamenda II and III municipalities where most parents say they are focused on paying school fees and buying books for their children.
2022 Africa Volleyball Championship: Cameroon Sails to Quarter Finals
The under 21 women’s volleyball team of Cameroon have overpowered host Tunisia by 3 sets to 0, with a score line of 25 – 15, 25-23, and 25-18, at the ongoing 2022 Africa Volleyball Championship.
The girls won their third game in the competition last evening August 31, 2022 which qualified them for the quarter finals.
Their next game comes up on Friday, September 2, 2022 against host Tunisia
