Fon Ndzi Oliver Yusip has been enthroned as the New Traditional Ruler of Ngulu Makop village in Ndu subdivision, Donga Mantung Division of the North West Region.
The new custodian of the culture of Ngulub Makop was enthroned this Friday, December 16, 2022. He takes over from Fon Ndzi Samuel who reigned for 50 years.
A ritual performed by the chief masquerade at the courtyard of the palace of Ngulu makop village to signal of mourning of their missing Fon. Born in 1937 and enthroned in 1972, Fon Ndzi Samuel Nfor reigned for 50 years.
Traditional and religious authorities turned out to celebrate the legacy traditional ruler and enthrone his successor.
Fon Ndzi Oliver Yusip, age 43 was given the mantle to continue advancing the cultural development of Ngulu makop village in Ndu subdivision, Donga Mantung Division of the North West Region.
Traditional rulers of neighbouring villages who attended the celebration invited to population to work in collaboration with their monarch for the development of their village.
The celebration was also a moment for men of God to pray for peace, social reunion and prosperity in the village. Different social groups also took turns to pay their allegiance to the new custodian of the cultures and traditions of Ngulu Makop.
