#CEMAC: Heads of State head home
Four of the five visiting CEMAC Presidents have left Cameroon back to their various countries immediately after the closing of the 15th Conference of the CEMAC Heads of State in Yaounde, Cameroon. On behalf of the Head of State of Cameroon was the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Chief Dr Joseph Dion Ngute who bade farewell to the Presidents of Chad, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea and the Republic of Congo.
After the airport civilities and protocols, Prime Minister , Joseph Dion Ngute presented and gave each of the Heads of State photo albums that summarized and immortalized their stay and their activities during the just ended 2023 Conference of the Heads of States of the Central African sub-region.
Four of the five presidents leave Cameroon
At 18 minutes past 8 pm Cameroonian time, the aircraft onboard the President of Chad, Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno jet off Cameroonian soil after some exchange of niceties at the airport with Chadian community at the courtyard of the airport, brief discussions with the Cameroonian Prime Minister the aiport VIP lounge and hand shakes with Cameroonian officials and counterparts of Chad
On his heels was the President of Gabon, Ali Bongo Ondimba who took off some twelve minutes later after bidding farewell to the Gabonese community and Cameroonian officials present at the Yaounde Nsimalen International Airport. Third on the list of the departures was the President Equatorial Guinea, Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo and exactly 14 minutes after 10 pm, President Denis Sassou Nguesso of the Republic of Congo was on board the skies of Yaounde back to Brazzaville.
Last to leave Cameroon will be the President of the Central African Republic Faustin-Archange Touadera whose departure is previewed for Saturday, March 19 at 11 am.
Benly Anchunda
