Cameroon’s Prime Minister – Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute has represented the President of the Republic, Paul Biya at the coronation ceremony of King Charles III of the United Kingdom.
The highly colourful ceremony organised at Westminster Abbey in London by world leaders, Heads of Commonwealth nations and friends of the British monarchy.
The king was enthroned alongside his spouse; Camilla who has become the Queen consort of England.
A contingent of a Cameroon’s defence Forces were part of the troops that took part in the coronation procession.
Cameroon is a member of the Commonwealth of Nations and enjoys bilateral cooperation with the United Kingdom since independence.
Both countries share a long history which dates back to the pre colonial era.
