Freedom: Kidnapped Women In Big Babanki Released from Captivity
The over two dozen who who were abducted from their village in Big Babanki located in Tubah Sub Division of the North West have regained their Freedom.
Local authorities confirmed that the women who were kidnapped on May 20 by suspected separatist fighters have been released and taken to medical facilities for checkup.
The women have been recounting their experiences during their tragic stay in captivity marked by torture and difficult access to medical treatment.
The Fon of Kedjom Keku condemned the taking hostages of women who came out to condemn illegal taxes imposed on their communities by the armed separatists.
The traditional Rulers condemnation comes after that of the Senior Divisional Officers for Mezam, who described the act as barbaric.
