AFCON Cote d’Ivoire 2023 : Cameroon paired in Group C

The city of Yamoussoukro in Cote d’Ivoire will host the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon during the group state of the 2023 edition of the Africa Cup of Nations.

This follows the draws of the #TotalEnergiesAFCON2023 Cameroon that took place this Thursday October 12, 2023 in Cote d’Ivoire.

Cameroon is paired in group C alongside three West African nations including Senegal that won the 2021 edition of the tournament in Cameroon.
Guinea and Gambia are the other two members of the group.

The Teranga Lions of Senegal; the current cup holders and the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon five time – winners are tipped as favorites in the group. However, Guinea and Gambia are no rider overs.

Cameroon and Senegal are expected to size up each other in an international friendly schedule for the French city of Lens before their duel at the continental level.

Other Groups


Host country, Côte d’Ivoire will play against Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea and Guinea Bissau all in group A.

Group B members include, AFCON2021 finalist and continental football giant, Egypt, paid alongside west Africa height weight Ghana. Cap-Vert and Mozambique are also members of the group.

Algeria and Burkina Faso have been paired in group D alongside Mauritania and Angola.

Tunisia, Mali, South Africa and Namibia are members of group E while group F is made up of Morocco, DR Congo, Zambia and Tanzania.

AFCON Cote d’Ivoire 2023 will be played from January 13 to February 11, 2024
