All four teams lodged in group C have arrived the host city, Yamoussoukro. The last team to set foot on Ivorian soil is the Scorpion of Gambia that landed on Thursday January 11; after their Air Ivoire plane developed a technical fault and made a U-turn after nine minutes of flight.
The Gambian National football team, now join the Syli National of Guinea at the Hotel Parlement. The Guinean side were the first to arrive in Yamoussoukro.
The Teranga Lions of Senegal landed on Wednesday afternoon, hours after the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon who arrived earlier in the day.
Title holders, the Teranga Lions of Senegal and Indomitable Lions of Cameroon who are five times Cup winners and hosted the 2021 edition are both lodged at the “Hotel Président.”
Media Accreditation formalities hit up
As the different teams warm up for the competition, media professionals accredited for the competition have been completing accreditation formalities at the centre set-up at the esplanade of the stadium.
Local and International press men and women took turns in front of the accreditation official with their passport to the verify their identities before getting a photoshoot for the badge that gives access to the playground and media stands.
