Fans of the Elephants of Côte d’Ivoire are still in a festive mode after the team picked a semi-finals ticket during prolongation with a 2-1 victory over Mali after 120 minutes of play at Stade de la Paix in Bouaké.
The Elephants of Côte d’Ivoire grabbed the 3rd of four tickets for the semi finals while the Bafana Bafana of South Africa grabbed the last after winning Cape Verde in the fourth quarter finals game played at the Charles Konan Banny stadium in Yamoussoukro.
The Leopards of the Democratic Republic of Congo qualified a day earlier after putting the Guinean expedition to half. The Syli National of Guinea were beaten 3-0 at the Felix Houphouët-Boigny stadium in Abidjan.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria played and won the Palancas Negras of Angola at the same stadium.
According to the fixtures of the semi finals, Nigeria will take on South Africa at Stade de la Paix in Bouaké at 6pm while the host, Côte d’Ivoire will clash with the Democratic Republic of Congo on Wednesday February 7, 2024 at Alassan Ouattara Olympic Stadium of Ebimpé at 9pm.
The winners of both games will play the finals on Sunday February 11 at the Alassan Ouattara Olympic Stadium in Ebimpé in Abidjan, while the losers will play for the third place on Saturday February 10, 2024 at the Felix Houphouët-Boigny stadium in Abidjan.
